Internships

Marketing and Communications at the WSU International Center.

Through this internship, I have learned different ways to promote our events for the International Center. This job required creating flyers for the programs and events offered throughout the semester by the International Center.  My knowledge and usage of Photoshop had grown over the semester of working here. I understood usage rights when it came to using different photos and understanding the importance of branding. When we made flyers there was a specific way our flyers needed to be laid out, as well as understanding the branding colors of our school. Although being limited to some colors it was important to understand that in the future sometimes companies also require certain colors. Over time throughout my internship, I started expanding my knowledge of how to make a good flyer. The style of how I started to make flyers had also changed over the semester as well.

Graphic Design Intern at Natalie Wood Designs.

This was a semester-long internship where I helped create graphics through Photoshop. I created different graphics for the website, social media, packaging, and email newsletters. I learned how to create engravings, create repeated patterns within photoshop, and created transparent images of the jewelry so they could be displayed on the website.
