My name is Thomas Chiou, currently I’m a student at Washington State university studying Digital Technology and Culture. Growing up I have always been a huge fan of the movies, TV shows, video games and other sorts of art or entertainment. It always amused me how movies or other forms of media can combines stories, visual art style, music, and many other factors to create a artwork that express their ideas, feeling, and emotions. It caught my attention on how people’s imaginations, and dream can be shared and make a impact on the world. Hopefully by studying DTC, I can use this opportunity to learn and gain more experience, so I can create my own to share for the world.
Throughout my school career, I have never been a big fan of memorizing terms and materials for my other class subjects like history, or biology. I want to create rather than remembering some unnecessary information. I also like to be adventurous, going out, having fun, taking more risks, enjoying life and experience. My dream is to capture those moments and experiences, and share them to the others.
I worked on several video and Photoshop project like “Adventures near the Palouse”, and “Civil War” movie poster. During my high school carer, I did some volunteer work with “Bob and Mary campaign”, and “Leo club”.
