For the first project in DTC 201, I designed a dystopian collage in Adobe Photoshop. This piece was inspired by surrealism and the contrasting ideas of dystopia and utopia within a person’s life and head. Everyone struggles to live in the beauty of the world, whether it’s through hardships or fear of being hurt.

In project 2 of DTC 201, I created a character design in Adobe Illustrator, which was driven by my love for comic books. From the speech bubbles to the big eyes and bright colors, I hoped to imitate the comic style.

This is an original work I did in my first Adobe Illustrator class that required us to create a portrait of ourselves, based on our own images. I decided to capture a picture of my hair flying in the air and placed in it in Illustrator as a guide. The style of this piece is based on the unique shapes found in the image.

In DTC 101, the class was required to make an data visualization, based on personal information gathered over a two week period. I recorded my caffeine intake and then placed the information in an infragraph style through Adobe Illustrator, using urban and bright-colored stylistic choices.
