Multimodal Technological Literacy Narrative

Introduction

My experience with multimedia started when I was about 11 years old. I got my first pc with a big white monitor. This pc was running windows 98 and it was very slow. I started using it and learned it by experimenting the basics of the Microsoft office. At that time, I used PowerPoint and Word because I learned the basics of these programs from my school. I got my second computer a few years later. I was able to run much complex programs on this machine. I started to use more advanced programs. I used Photoshop and 3D Studio Max and other video editing programs. I got interested in this technology so I decided to learn more about it. After my last year of high school, I got enrolled to Washington State University as a computer science student. Then, after few semesters I decided to change my major to Digital Technology and Culture. Because, I am more interested in multimedia authoring than programing. However, I did learn a little bit of programing when I was majoring computer science and it did help me understand how coding works. I was not enjoying computer science as much as I am enjoying multimedia now. And, I am hoping to work as a graphic designer or motion designer after college. This website will cover a short narrative of my experience in multimedia and how I started using the computer.
